SUMMARY:Saint Patrick's Day Ceilidh
DESCRIPTION:Saint Patrick's Day Ceilidh\n\nHosted by St. Martin's Academy\n\nSaturday\, March 15th\, 2pm until over\n\n750 S. National Ave.\n\n \nOn Saturday\, March 15th\, we will be hosting an Irish music party in honor of Saint Martin's nephew at Mansion South (750 S. National). We'll start at 2pm and end when we've gone the distance. \n\n \n\nSuch a party\, traditionally called a Ceilidh (kay-lee)\, will feature the following:\n\n\n\n	Dave Agee and his band from KC. Dave is our man who teaches our boys the mandolin and is one of the most accomplished Irish musicians in the midwest. \n	The Indian Road Ramblers. That's my working name for the growing group of our lads who play and play well: James Schofield\, Cash York\, Henry Schafer\, John Christensen\, Patty Mullholland\, JohnArthur Denton\, Will VDR\, Pete McDonald and others.\n	Guinness\, Harp and Irish whiskies.\n	Corned beef\, cabbage\, and red potatoes courtesy of Master Chef Macik.\n	If possible\, the antics of the Saint Philip Neri Juggling Guild.\n\n\n\nA few notes further:\n\n\n\n	Katie and I have long wanted to host a proper Saint Patrick's day event here in Fort Scott to open up to the community the cultural experience of an Irish party well done. Not just green shirts and dyed Budweiser\, but the real mccoy.\n	As such\, this will be open to the public and\, having secured a one-day liquor license\, we will be selling food and drink. All proceeds go to the Academy\, of course.\n	The school has hit a tipping point as we now have a determinant number of our boys who are real musicians. The group of boys I mentioned above (and more) are not just passable\, they're really good. \n	Our staff is loaded with musical talent. Between Dave and his band\, the boys and our own faculty\, we've got hours of excellent music for the occasion. \n\nWe hope this will be the start of an annual event\, an event that brings the SMA family together so we can share authentic culture - the Faith\, food\, music\, drink - with the good people of southeast Kansas.\n\n \n\nPlease join us\, bring your friends and spread the word. Slainte! \n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDuc in altum\,\n\n \n\nDaniel Kerr\n\nPresident\, St. Martin's Academy\n\nc: 620.224.8110\n\nwww.saintmartinsacademy.org
