Join the Bourbon County Emergency services at the Fort Scott High School Basketball game on February 25th, 2025, as we put on a Chili Feed Benefit for the Long Family! We will start serving at 4:30 and will serve until sold out or until the start of the 3rd quarter during the boy’s game.
The Sheriff’s Office along with Fort Scott Police Department, Fort Scott Fire Department, Bourbon County EMS, and Fort Scott/Bourbon County Dispatch will be serving your choice of a bowl of chili, Frito chili pie, hotdog, or chili dog. You will also get a dessert and a bottled of water for $7. All proceeds will go to the Long Family as they go through this difficult time.
Sarah Long a 15-year dedicated Public Safety Dispatcher had learned that her 8-year-old son, Jareth had a 8cm mass on his kidney and multiple spots on his lungs. They are currently at Children’s Mercy being treated for them. On February 6th Jareth underwent surgery to have his right kidney removed. They are waiting for the biopsy results to know exactly what they are dealing with, however they are treating Jareth for cancer.
We would appreciate your assistance with helping us raise money for one of our own!
